Career strategy:
a plan that works

An individual program for experienced managers and professionals around the middle of their career. Who are looking for (new) direction in their next step and how to remain successful and happy in their work afterwards.

In doing so, we 'spin' on two sides in parallel:

  • Determine course: this helps them make the right career choices, inside or outside your organization. So that they will do what really fits them, now and in the future.
  • Working on themselves: we create clarity on and work on 'the flipside of what they are just so good at'. This increases the chances of sustainable success in whatever they will do.

So, what is common practice for organizations, I do with my clients on a personal scale: we create a strategy. Which makes them (again) 'master of their own destiny'.

For whom

One of your senior managers (or partners if a firm is considered) is somehow at a crossroads within your organization. Is this all there is, something needs to change, but what?

And in doing so, you want them to start making their own choices, rather than waiting to see what comes their way. That is best for everyone, especially at this level.

But how do you get them to do this without making it look like things are not going well now? It is a delicate balance.

Why?

Because in the second half of one's career, the number of suitable options tends to gradually reduce and the competition sharpens.

And in whatever they will do, yet often only 'the best' gets the job, project or assignment.

So they better have a plan and fully focus on where they are at their best.

How?

Using a number of practical tools, we gather and analyze information about a person and his or her career. We primarily look at what they are good at, what they are less good at and what makes them happy.

And we translate that into a simple plan with concrete career steps and development issues for both the short and longer term.

Why with me?

Years of experience as a headhunter, strategy consultant and career coach for senior executives in the business and not-for-profit sector ... with associated network.

Practical, structured and personal tailormade approach, based on in-depth analysis and delivering concrete results.

Track record of success as a career strategist and coach with just under 200 clients over the past 10 years: average appreciation score 8.6 and dropout rate 2%.

'This is how we make our people
become 'master of their own destiny'

Program career strategy

Schematically: the complete program looks as follows, which can be further customized in a modular way.

Financial: I charge a fixed all-in fee for the entire program or a pro-rata portion thereof, with a minimum of €4,000.

Bert Cohen

As a career strategist and coach, I was focused on creating sustainable careers at the top of the labor market for the last 10 years. In which I served nearly 200 individual clients: a healthy mix of men and women, backgrounds and cultures, and different levels of international careers. Many of my clients are between the ages of 40 and 50, but I am equally happy to work with both younger and older professionals.
